Overview of 2026 Fee Adjustments
Starting March 31, 2026, Canadian passport fees have been adjusted in accordance with the Service Fees Act. These changes reflect inflation and the cost of maintaining high-security travel documents.

Delayed Processing? You Are Owed a Refund
The Government of Canada has committed to strict service standards. If your application processing (starting from the date a complete application is received) is delayed, you receive an automatic partial refund:
- 25% Refund: Delay of 1–10 business days beyond standards.
- 50% Refund: Delay of 11+ business days beyond standards.
Exclusions: The $25 consular fee and expedited “Urgent” fees are non-refundable.
